Learn Coding for Brother Printers

This hackathon has two required challenges:

1. Integrate BSI into a document workflow
2. Create a dashboard for a printer administrator

The solution for each challenge must contain Brother Solution Interface (BSI) features as described in the Judging Criteria section’s table “ Development Phase 2 -- BSI Required and Optional Features.”

Ideation: Phase 1

Each Entrant shall submit a plain text project description for each of the two required challenges. Entrants may also submit an optional, supporting PDF document including diagrams, screen mock-ups, etc. for one or both challenges.

The plain text idea submissions must include the following:

• Idea title
• Problem statement: A description of the problem you intend to solve.
• Description of proposed idea: How does your solution address the problem?
• Impact: What impact will the solution have on the business or organization using it?
• Solution approach: How will you build the solution?

Development:  Phase 2

Each Entrant shall submit for judging one 4-minute-long prototype video demonstration for each of the two required challenges.

Entrants may also submit an optional, supporting PDF document including diagrams, actual prototype screen shots, etc. for  one or both challenges.

A unique Dropbox upload link will be sent to each Entrant. Entrants must use the provided link to upload their video demonstration (accepted file formats limited to: MP4, MOV, WMV, AVI and FLV.)

The video demonstration (and optionally, the supporting PDF) must include the following:

• Technical description: How did you technically approach the solution?
• Key features: What key features are in the solution?
• BSI: What BSI capabilities are in the solution?
• Technical architecture: What would the solution’s complete technical architecture look like?
